THE ROLE OF THE PARENTS IN THE REBRANDING NIGERIA PROJECT.

The family is a micro ecclesia community.Put in another way, the family is a micro society. This means that whatever happens in the society is an offshoot of that which once existed in certain families.Whatever virtue or vice that is seen in the family propagates to the larger society if it is not well taken care of.If the cause of any problem is traceable,it should start from the family.Any problem that is checkmated in the family goes a long way in positively affecting the larger society. This is because the family is the taproot of the society.Any problem noticeable in any society emanates from the inapt management of homes. For the project(rebranding Nigeria) to be fruitful the family as a social unit, should not be neglected. It should be taken into account. That is even where we have to start from.
The question is this:who makes up the family and how then can changes be made in the family?
The answer is simple. The family is made up of the father(the head and as well the manager), the mother(the vice president) and the children(the governed). The father as I said, is the governor of the family. He is the head and as such has control over all and sundry.
How can they contribute their own quota in the rebranding Nigeria project? They have to discipline themselves first before they can instil discipline in their wards because you cannot give what you have not.It is true that they may face some problems as they do this but It can be redressed. If, for instance,in the course of instilling discipline in the children, the father is neglected, then he has to report to any nearest law enforcement agency. But inspite of that,it is believed that the okro does not grow taller than the planter.Take for instance a father whose child smokes marijuana or who is into illegal business, instead of protecting such a lad,the father has to alert the security agents and handover the miscreant to them for reformation. He should uncover evil and shun pity in all sincerity.Yes.It is true that the society cannot be rid completely of corruption, but we can make an instinct. For the mothers,as the second managers of homes, they are the nearest to the children.About 70% of the trainings offered to children comes from the mothers. The mothers should be very careful with the kind of training they offer their children. They should watch their wards, teach their children good moral values and at the same time ensure that they grow up not departing from those footsteps. Then the children themselves should hearken to the teachings of their parents. If this is done, then the project will be seen to be feasible.
