There is, however, no doubt in the minds of the vast majority of scientists that global warming is happening and the results could be catastrophic for human and other life on the planet! The next thing we need to ask ourselves is, "How fast is this warming taking place?" Very reliable temperature measurements have been taken and recorded for about a century now. In the last century, the average temperature worldwide has increased by 1.3° ± 0.32° Fahrenheit (0.74° ± 0.18° Celsius). Granted, this is be a very small change. Skeptics also often state that global temperatures have often been a lot warmer than they are today in the past. Whether or not you believe that this warming is natural or man-made, there's no doubt that our planet has been warming up for the last 100 years and that as small as the increase seems to we laypeople, scientists are convinced that it is a significant increase. So are we humans the cause of global warming?" The answer to this question is difficult. There are many other things besides mankind's activities that can cause or add to global warming. The influence of those things varies from year to year and even from century to century. They don't all change in the same manner at the same time either. Some may cause the temperature to rise while others effect a decrease. That makes reaching a conclusion about causes and their effects very hard, even for the experts. Computer projections and other scientific evidence have convinced the majority of scientists today, however, that humans have significantly added to recent global warming. So should we be worried enough to bother taking any action? There are a few things we know for sure. Very small increases in the Earth's average temperature can cause very large changes in weather. Just a slight warming in the temperature of ocean water can increase in the strength of a hurricane from say a category two to a category three. Some species of both land and sea life die in just slightly warmer water temperatures. Other animals that feed on them will then also die, and so on right up the food chain, perhaps to us! In recent decades, there have been more storms, more snow, more drought, and more flooding in many parts of the world than there has been in recorded history! The Earth's polar ice caps have shrunk, causing ocean levels to rise. Some islands that were only barely above sea level are already disappearing! Their residents are being relocated, sometimes to areas that can't really support additional populations. Further loss of the polar ice caps could cause much of the state of Florida to disappear! Venice, Italy will be gone! Manhattan will become an aquarium! In conclusion, most of the world's scientists believe that there is plenty of proof that we humans are destroying our planet, at least as we know it. Most believe that action must be taken now in order to prevent catastrophe and some even think it may already be too late! The evidence that global warming will destroy much of our world is getting stronger and stronger and the possibility of a world that is not friendly to human life is just too horrible to ignore!

PERSISTENCE IS INSPIRATIONAL.

One of the tools with which great men triumph is persistence. Persistence is the reason why a known failure in life turns out to become an object of world tourist attraction. This virtue persistence goes with hope. Sometimes the survival of the persisted is mistaken to be out of favor but it is not always the case. To persist in the face of trouble is also for the strong-minded and not for the feeble-minded. All goals in life are achievable and must be drafted with utmost care, determination and courage. This should be done to ensure that one persists till he achieves them at the expense of his comfort. Persistence is the price we pay for failure and shame. Persistence is just the cost of failure.

THE EASY PATH TO SUCCESS.

The shortest track to survival is the most uncertainty on this earth. One may wonder why so many people leave this world half or unfilled yet they had a thousand and one beautiful dreams while alive. It is not sometimes that they never made attempt in fulfilling those dreams but the problem is the track they followed in doing so. Then, it makes me think on the viable way, means or track one can follow so as to make one's dreams realizable. At a point I came to understand three major reasons why people often fail the assignments of life. A list of these three reasons is what I tried to present in a hierarchical order of their importance here.
What matters most on this earth as long as the life's race is concerned are;
1.Whom you know,
2.Who knows you and finally
3.What you know.
The rapt understanding and valuation of these three issues is enough to eliminate illusions in a mean person's mind and help him in the life's journey, therefore making it smoother than others'.
Capitalizing on these three tracks alone does not guarantee one to the road to perfect success. Other finer and smoother paths abounds. Among them are:

I wonder what the society will be like without the police command. Their roles are indispensable. Nigeria got a bad name the moment our police command started misbehaving. Then the control of the character build up of the citizens became very difficult. Their contributions became almost useless because they are the major key player in the issue of corruption in the country. These people (the police) who were entrusted with the responsibility of shepherding the sheep turned to wolves that now devour the sheep they are to keep. Their functions involve the enforcement of the laws of the state. But to the greatest dismay of the public whom they serve, they have disappointed the people by their unrepentant and nonchalant attitude towards the people and the state. Recounting their misconducts, they are incessantly found flouting the laws of the state which they are meant to protect in view of the belief that nobody will prosecute them. Is anyone above the law? People who are supposed to come to work on time no longer care about the time they come to work so long as they have a thousand and one reasons to be late in the name of the barbaric ‘African time’ People who are supposed to parade criminals that indulged in bribery without fear or favor are found giving and receiving bribes. They now endorsed bribery as part of our polity by the virtue of their actions and words. People who are supposed to arrest, charge to court and prosecute criminals for the sake of justice are now seen misinterpreting the terms of the laws for the sake of money. They deny government’s effort to combat crime. They deny government’s provision of sophisticated weapons with which to fight crime. They often flee when they see criminals at the scene of crimes like robbery etc. Anyway, the issue of police misconduct is not in vogue in this write up. What is in vogue right now is the issue of the ways to re brand their name in particular and that of the country in general. Our major concern is on the way forward.

In this project, the country has a lot to do with the police. This project is hopefully achievable if the police are chiefly involved. This is a fight. Our major aim is to ensure the removal of the issue of corruption from the annals of the country’s polity. If it means printing a new brand and color of uniform for them with a new name, let them be issued that so far they can change their attitudes. It is suggestible that they (the police) be more equipped with most sophisticated weapons to help them in crime fighting. They should be paid regularly their salaries, monetized benefits and entitlements so that they will always be well fed and sheltered too. This will boost their self confidence and self dependence so that they can face and arrest whatever caliber of person that flouts the laws in the society without influence. The ministry in charge of the police should form another set of police that will police the police. Yes, the police that will police the police. It has to be formed. They will be in charge of controlling the activities of the police in and outside the barracks. The principles of rule of law which the country uses support this. No one is above the law. The bad eggs among them have to be fished out and their activities checkmated. They have to be fished out, policed and prosecuted. Their postings and transfer has to be done without any form of influence. They should be posted out of their home towns to avoid influence from their people during the course of discharging their duties. They should be regularly promoted to ensure that they stop stopping motorists and the collection of chips or ‘egunje’ on the highways. A special police patrol team has to be formed for the proposed police’ police. They are to be trained in special criminology to prepare them for policing the police. Special training has to be given them also to help them know what is required of them as regards this fight.

Strongly one can affirm that if the police are given their right of place in this country starting with this project, they will perform more than expected. I believe in them.

The teachers are the main nation builders. They comprises of those who have received formal education and have chosen to dedicate their time and talent and of course their life to the course of imparting the knowledge they have obtained in the citizens of the country especially in a formal setting called a school. It may interest one to know that irrespective of their level of education or academic qualifications, they are highly respected in the society. They can even be referred to as the most important set of people in the world due to their ability to teach and lead the people. Teachers are leaders also. They include the kindergartens, primary, post primary (high school), tertiary (university lecturers) and teacher education teachers. They also include those in the seminary, theological institutes and defense colleges. Prior to their position in the society, they owe the society a great deal of responsibilities to perform especially a society such as ours (Nigeria). Undoubtedly, what any society knows today is what their teachers have taught them back in the days.
Before the re branding project could be achieved, teachers should not be neglected because they have a lot of roles to play for the success of the project. They should be given their right of place. The present honorable minister of information and communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili, who is the initiator of the project should liaise with the teachers at all levels through their amalgamated trade unions; ASUU, NUT, COPSHON etc to make this project a success. They can help sensitize the Nigeria populace on the ways to say no to corruption. It is suggestible though, that teachers has to bring out a suitable slogan which they can always as a matter of utmost importance, be writing on top of the chalkboard each time they want to give a lecture in their classrooms. They can write this slogan and help students recite it before and after each class. Sometimes they could make out some times like two minutes to talk to the students daily and regularly in their classrooms on the bad effects of corruption on our name and our economy in general. This will go a long way in catching the minds of the Nigerian children young before they are polluted. Teachers in primary and post primary schools can mobilize their pupils to form a mega anti corruption clubs/society where public lectures could be delivered at intervals stipulated by the teachers in a unanimous agreement with the pupils. Nigerian government can also map out an anti corruption date that will be specifically declared a national public holiday. On this day, activities like football matches could be played from to mark the event thence the message of anti corruption could be related to the spectators. Also public lectures in each state, local government areas and even at the federal level could be delivered by notable dignitaries. Anti corruption awards could be given in the same vein to support those who have given their times and talent in the fight. University lecturers in their own contribution can call for university public lectures where they will institute an anti corruption clubs/societies in collaboration with the students union government (SUG). These clubs can be formally launched and funded. The fund can be used in organizing anti corruption week activities. These activities could also be incorporated as part of the SUG week activities in Nigerian universities, polytechnics and monotechnics. Teachers have more to offer this country as long as the success of this project is concerned and therefore should not be underrated.

Physics as a discipline is holistic. It is not just a classroom discipline alone. It also deals more on industrial activities. Physicists are the owners of the industries, be it the media, oil, medical, automotive, electrical and electronics, aviations, textile, information and communications technology (ICT) to name but a few. Physicists are not supposed to be found wanting in the industries both as amateur and full grown professional physicists. This discipline physics is the engine that drives much of the modern industrial technologies. The interdisciplinary multipliplicity of biological, chemical and physical sciences such as biochemistry, biophysics, computer science and all kinds of engineering owe credit to the subjects of physics. Their development is a result of the inventions and discoveries made by great physicists. Industrial training for physics students exposes them to professionalism and at the same time forms the basis of their final year seminar presentation and project writing in most universities. Honestly without industrial training for physics students, the physics graduate will be left with only the paper qualification and of course is denied of the industrial work experience. He cannot boast of any industrial or theoretical knowledge because he has nothing to show for it. This is worse especially where there is little or no laboratory equipment.

More importantly, their participation in industrial training is an avenue for inventions and addition of new innovations in modern industrial operations. Therefore, they should not be denied of their industrial experience at any level regardless of their individual areas of specialization in the field of physics.

Mothers are encouraged to play their roles in the family by inculcating in their wards those good moral teachings that will help the family inparticular and our society in general. They should not relent in doing this because their absence in the society today will be greatly felt. The society cannot do without them. Our possibility of achieving this project rebranding Nigeria, depends on them. They have been tested and trusted and found fit to handle critical issues such as this project. It is even suggestible that all the sectors of our economy be entrusted in their hands to manage. It will be to our utmost surprise seeing them handling these sectors better than expected.Apart from their positive financial contributions to the growth of the family,they shouldn't be so far from home that their God-given fuctions of home management become a story.They should draw closer to the home so as to help in re-examining the styles of performance of the duties of their wards at home and as well extend such gestures in championing the management of the problems of the entire society.Women are problem solvers.In order to participate fully in the Nigerian polity, they should be allowed formal education.The government can help liberate them from ignorance and exploitation by men by passing a law that promotes gender equality.Their functions should not be limited to only domestic.It has to be widened to accommodate even this rebranding Nigeria project campaigns which the federal government of Nigeriai is after this time.

A genuine human being is not one who is so affluent that he is publicly proclaimed the richest man but rather one who can always be held responsible for his actions.Man is free but he is always in chains.Man is not completely free.He must be careful the way he behaves towards his creator and also his fellow human beings.Anybody who cannot be held responsible for his character is not worth living.Such a person is termed irresponsible.Irresponsibility is very bad.It is not human.It is made for wild animals.Those animals that far away from man that they are not given training.Such a person is not acknowledged in the society.He is hardly regarded among others.His words are ironically soundless.Even when such a person acts,he is often noticed.Only his actions are noticeable because they do not conform with that of the accepted norms of the society.For a responsible human,he,his actions and words are always noticeable anytime anywhere.He quotes and can be quoted.
WHAT ARE THOSE THING THAT QUALIFY PEOPLE TO RESPONSIBLE
A man who is trustworthy is understood to be responsible.A man who has understanding,wisdom and intellect.A faithful fellow who hardly disappoints.One who has sincerity of purpose.Any man that is truthful to his associates.One who is not easily deformed by ideas contrary to his.Such a man weighs and reweighs the effects of his action before actually exhibiting them.He acknowledges the wisdom and on the other hand what he considers foolishness from others.He does not dominates his system with his ideas alone.He is not infuriated by criticism but rather welcomes them cheerfully.Hen stores in his brain whatever thing that precedes from his mouth.He has so much control over his lips.He does not wait to be reminded of his duties at any time.

THE EVILS OF PREMARITAL SEX.

This party of human life is made for a purpose.Human knowledge can never surpass God's wisdom.In His omnipotent nature He knows what will happen in one thousand years to come.He has engineered this world the way it should be.
In His mercy He gave man some ordinances to observe in their daily life.This He did to avoid the troubles that may ensue if man para venture flouts His natural laws.Sexuality is an integral part of human life.As long as the task of procreation is concerned,naturally man cannot do without sexuality.But that does not mean that man has to misbehave as it concerns the issue of sexuality.It may interest you to know that the repercussion that follows the committing of such mortal as incest,homosexuality,lesbianism,bisexuality,masturbation e.t.c is unpredictable.
This act of man called sexuality is made for the married mainly for the purpose of procreation.Young people engaging in premature sexual activity is quite immoral.It is abominable in the sights of God.It should be stopped if not for anything but for the sake of the after effect of such.
DANGERS OF PREMARITAL SEX
PREMATURE PREGNANCY Premature pregnancy often called unwanted pregnancy occurs when an unmarried young man impregnates an unmarried girl without the intention of taking care of her as a wife.This sometimes happen because of careless unprotected sexual intercourse between a young man and a young woman.When this happens the guy in question is often persuaded or forced to take the girl as a wife.This,when accepted by the guy due to pressure from the girl's family,leads to unplanned family.Sometimes it may lead to hatred between the duo owing to lack of intimate love between them.One the other hand if the guy happens to reject or refuse the marriage,dejection on the side of the girl occurs.Then the girl seeks another alternative means of getting back to her normal state that is without the pregnancy.
The closest alternative to the modern day youngsters in issues like this is abortion.Abortion we know is a grave sin.Any man born of a woman who values life cannot open his God-given mouth to suggest abortion to anybody.Abortion itself leads to murder.

POLITICIZING THE EDUCATION INDUSTRY.

Education is the backbone of every society.The level of development in a nation is determined by the literacy level of the citizens of that country.For there to be educational development in a country,the government of that country has to invest more in the education industry.Any nation that neglects this will have its education industry be in shambles.Little or lack of technical and managerial know-how can mar the development of a nation thereby rendering such a nation dependent.It breeds immaturity as regards the growth and development of a nation.
Nowadays what is common in the modern day less developed countries of the world is the incessant politicization of the issues in the education industry.This results in the abnormal inserting of a square peg in a round hole and vise-versa.What do I meant by this?
To throw more light on this subject, I would like to cite the observation I made in a typical less developed country in Africa.Cases exist where scholarship which is meant for the extraordinary students in a high school who has performed marvelously well is awarded to dummies.These dummies are trained at the expense of the well to do as long as education is concerned.What comes thereafter is failure or disappointment.If success could occur,it would only be the emergence of half baked technocrats.And from there quackery is tolerated.This is a wastage of resources.What is the major cause of this?It is all political.Just because one belongs to a certain geopolitical zone in the country that is why he or she is denied what accrues to him or her.This does not do any nation any good.People who are supposed to uplift the image of the country after training are denied the opportunity of contributing their own quota to the development of the country.How can such a country move forward when all they know is how to turn things upside down?
Imagine a country whose annual budget maps out less than 20% of her budget to the development regardless of the whooping amount of revenue she derives from her domestic and foreign earnings.How can one expect development to be at their doorsteps.It's almost impossible and of course quite appalling.To politicize the education industry cannot do any country any good rather it retards the velocity at which the country is developing.It is better checkmated before it gets out of hand.

THE TONGUE: A POWERFUL TOOL.

Biologically the tongue is the sense organ for taste.Owing to the functions the tongue performs, it is a multipurpose sense organ.
As it concerns speech-sound, it's functions is often confused with that of the lips.It's functions cuts across communication,preaching of the good news,and proclamation of belief,expression of feelings and emotions,prayers and praises,enthronement,prophecy,pronouncing of blessings,promises,etc.
It is often misused especially when used for gossip,dethronement,curse,excommunication,pronunciation of judgment.The tongue by its nature is fleshy and flexible.It can express mischievous utterances if it is not well controlled.The tongue has to be controlled for man to be strictly responsible generally.Uncontrolled tongue is very dangerous.It (uncontrolled tongue) can put one in a very serious trouble.
Then the question is how the tongue be controlled?
It is very difficult to controlled the tongue due to its flexibility.But this does not mean that it cannot be controlled.It can be controlled but to do that one has to be extremely careful.There are suggested ways by which the tongue can be controlled.Before one aims at the controlling the tongue,one must understand that the tongue is made for good.It is made for godly utterances.In order to eschew troubles one must learn to count his words.
Gossip is one of those unwholesome uses of the tongue.To trace the cause of gossip is a right step in the right direction as long as the quest for control of the tongue is concerned.One of the causes is idleness.Prevention they say, is better than cure.To prevent idleness one has to be busy at all times.One can be physically busy or mentally busy.Physical business involves engaging oneself in a visible venture whereas mental business involves engaging oneself in positive mental reasoning.Mental business also involves one pondering on events so as to make positive beneficial changes that will affect the life of people.
Another way by which the tongue can be controlled is by exhibiting silence in sometimes especially when one is tempted to utter wrongly.Silence they say, is golden.Silence is never misquoted.One can greatly control one's tongue if one tries to be silent when one does not know what to say at any particular point in time.It is better to keep quite instead of making a sound which one cannot be held responsible for.
In addition one can control one's tongue by listening to music and also singing songs.Music they say, is the food of the soul.One's soul is uplifted when one listens to a kind of music of one's choice.
Spoken words are very powerful.They can build and they can also demolish.They can cause war.Spoken words can trigger enmity.Anyone that is addicted to gossips must have a low esteem among his mates.A gossip is always feeling sense of guilt.Gossip is very bad.It kills a person's image.It can kill one and put others in trouble.
Consider the case of David in the bible.When David committed adultery and impregnated Bathsheba,he convicted himself by the judgment he made when prophet Nathan indirectly likened his acts to an imaginary king who committed the same gravity of offense he committed.Even when his son impregnated the sister God pronounced cause upon the family.That cause is what is happening now in the modern day Israel.War has become an integral part of the life of Israelis up til this day.
Jehoshaphat uttered a promise to dedicate anything; man or animal that shall welcome him after his conquest in a war.Behold the person that welcomed him as he stepped his toe inside his compound was his one and only daughter.He had no other option than to fulfill his promise.Even Hannah,after years of barrenness,instead of been barren for life promised to give God the child she will give birth to if only God will bless her with the fruit of the womb.Was it not Isaac's tongue that he used in blessing Jacob and causing Esau which descendants of Esau are suffering till date?Was it not the tongue that Jesus used in causing a fig tree?Was it not the tongue that Elisha used to lay cause on Gehazi which resulted in his seven fold possession of Naaman's leprosy? And most especially,was it not the tongue that GOD used to create the universe? Even Jesus performed so many miracles with just a words that preceded from His mouth.This tells us how powerful this tool is.
One of the greatest benefits of controlling the tongue is that it gives life.A man with a controlled tongue is very much respected in the society than the one who is loquacious.Control of the tongue is a virtue.

SECOND CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST.

From the first Sunday of lent to the last Sundays before Easter,all that is read in the daily catholic readings as well as the Sunday readings indicates that there is injustice in the world.
the world could not recognize the good work Jesus did.Instead what they could understand is the ungodly modification of truth.
Has truth any form of modification? Even in a law court.What else is sought after truth is revealed?Jesus is truth and the life of those who believe and those who do not believe either.
In His time Jesus revealed Himself a thousand and one times as the truth and the life in words and in deed.The world rejected Him.That means that they chose death instead of life when He offered them life.In deed He performed many kinds of miracles that no one else has ever done.In doing so He showed us that He is God made man.The world did not believed Him.Even today.Some Christians do not really worship Him in truth and in spirit.
After all the things Jesus did, they devised a means of eliminating Him.They levelled series of allegation on Him.What they could understand well was the Jewish legal implication of His actions rather than the spiritual implications.
Allowed by Jesus the world would have crucified or stoned Him before good Friday as is the case in Jon10:31.
Where were all those who received healing and deliverance when they accused Him?Weren't they supposed to counter the shouting 'crucify Him' with their own freedom hails 'He is our savior' so that Pilate could release Him?Does it mean that their yearnings would have been unnoticed?
It ten calls to mind the behavior of Christians these days.Proclamation of the good news is fast declining.We allow evil to perpetuate because of fear of the Pilates in our day.The well to do in society pervert justice these days.The defenceless is dying silently.Everyday we crucify Christ the second time by the life dirty we live.The food we eat ,the dress we put on,the words we utter,our socio-political system,environmental degradation,economic prejudice,war,communal crisis,regional insurgence,tribal and zonal marginalisation,loothing of public treasury,leadership- is-our-own syndrome,money laundering,examination malpractice, pre-marital sex,immodesty,betrayal to list but a few.There is no doubt about this.
